Friction
The question of who I am is still rolling around in my mind as I embark on my new life here at The Equinox: Lake Tahoe.
I still haven't found a definitive answer. But there are a few more things that I do know.
I love having my art recognized. It feels like I'm getting recognized for the first time in my life.
The friction this new path has caused between me and my family doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would.
However, I am bothered by the completely different kind of friction that's developing between me and the two silver foxes who own Equinox. Now my bosses. Bothered because I don't know if the growing obsession is only one sided?
Then, I receive an invitation from them that I hope will give me an answer to the new question that's preoccupying me more and more...
Am I the only one feeling the heat from all this friction?

Danger, death, and destruction.
One would say they follow me everywhere I go. But that’s not true.
They don’t follow me.
I create them.
I operate best on violence, sex, and adrenaline.
I have an abundance of each, being the right-hand man and enforcer for my best friend, Michael, mogul of the Alatorre Family.
When his fiancee’s brother goes missing, tensions mount. Michael enlists me to coordinate an international extraction plan to rescue Aria’s family from the reigns of her abusive father.
According to Michael, this isn’t a one-man mission, though.
He’s assigned Taylor, an Army Veteran and security personnel to assist, but we don’t see eye to eye on anything.
She’s uptight and stubborn with a body as sharp as her tongue.
And climbing her way through the ranks within Michael’s organization. Every bit an enemy in my book.
I work better alone, but I won’t go against Michael’s orders.
I’ve always protected my best friend, and his new extended family will be safe under my watch at all cost. Taylor’s under my feet every step of the way, but soon she’ll learn that her only place on this mission is on her back.

The fall line is that sweet spot on a mountain where you can feel gravity pulling at you. It isn’t always perfect, but if you follow it, whatever direction it leads you, you’ll end up exactly where you’re supposed to be.

As soon as we saw him, we knew he was exactly what we’ve been searching for; the missing piece to our puzzle. It won’t be easy, but we’ll follow wherever this leads in order to make him ours in the end. We’ve finally found our third, and we’ve fallen hard for him.
